What are these things called "essential oils"? Aug. 10, 2016, 4:23 a.m.
Hi. I'm Brittany & I recently discovered Young Living essential oils. Let me just start from the beginning. While on one of our kinder field trips to the zoo the kids had to use a lot of hand sanitizer in between petting all of the different kind of animals. I had one mom who insisted that her child not use the kind of hand sanitizer provided, but instead use the one she had brought. She briefly mentioned that is was because of all the chemicals that was in hand sanitizer. I shrugged it off & even made a comment "I bet you still take your kids to eat McDonalds though." Don't worry. It was a sarcastically nice comment. Nothing against McDonalds either. I randomly eat there every blue moon. I obviously didn't fully understand why this mother would try to prevent her child from using something that would clean their hands. This same mom got me a bag of goodies for an end of the year gift. In the bag was a jar of sugar scrub, bath salts and lavender room spray, along with a catalogue for Young Living essential oils. I was all like "essential oils, what are those? Is this some sort of hippie / natural Mommy thing?" I literally had never heard of essential oils before. I had no clue what they were. I didn't care to know and didn't want to. That was until I used the sugar scrub. What is this delicious smell and wonderful feeling? Why is my skin so soft? And how are my dried out summer bare feet actually soft? I enjoyed the bath salts & lavender room spray as well, but that sugar scrub was where it was at. As soon as I ran out of the scrub (2 weeks-ish later) I opened up that catalog and began reading about essential oils. I also texted that parent asking how I can get more. I needed more sugar scrub! Not only did I want it, but my hubby and 1.5 year old daughter were also asking me to get more. Luckily this lovely parent met up with me, told me about Young Living essential oils & how I could go about ordering my own. She introduced me to the starter kit. Y'all this starter kit is the bees knees!
